In recent years, there has been unprecedented progress in the field of nanotechnology, nanorobotics and nanoscience. Basically, nanotechnology is the study of the application of extremely small things to solve real-world problems. Some of the applications of nanotechnology in the healthcare area are nanomedicine, nanobots, and nanofibers (Netscribes, 2021).Medicines developed using nanotechnology will have numerous benefits over traditional medicine. For instance, nanotechnology will pave way for the development of smart pills which are medicine with advanced functions such as sensing, imaging, and drug delivery (Groshev, Hirani, Grover, Pathak, & Sutariya, 2014). Besides, smart medicine will have fewer side effects when compared to traditional medicine. Smart pills will also enable the treatment of traditional incurable diseases such as cancer and other viral infections. Informatics will take a central role in the future, especially in the implementations and development of nanodevices and nanoparticles and their application in living things and labs.
